Former UFC Champion Rashad “Sugar” Evans Returns Home to Host Mixed Martial Arts Weekend at MGM Grand Detroit

Detroit, Mich. — Rashad “Sugar” Evans, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion and one of the most notable fighters in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA ) camp, will return to his home state of Michigan to host the Mixed Martial Arts weekend at MGM Grand Detroit, which will include an official party and wrestling exhibition for aspiring wrestlers and fans.
Evans, who is from Lansing, Michigan, and attended Michigan State University, won the UFC heavyweight division of The Ultimate Fighter 2. He holds notable victories over Chuck Liddell and Forrest Griffin. Evans was awarded his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt by Rolles Gracie in January 2010. Recently, Evans defeated Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, a fight that further established his position as a revered fighter within MMA.
